✨ A Fluffy Encounter ✨
Today I stumbled upon a true jewel of the night: Phalera bucephala, also known as the Buff-tip moth. At first glance, it looked just like a broken twig resting quietly — nature’s camouflage at its finest. But leaning closer, its fluffy body and soft markings revealed a hidden beauty.
I couldn’t resist capturing a portrait of this gentle creature. There’s something magical about moths — so delicate, yet so perfectly adapted to their world. The Buff-tip, with its velvety textures, seems almost otherworldly, like a tiny woodland spirit wrapped in silvery fur.
Finding one feels like a secret gift from the forest, a reminder to slow down, look closer, and notice the small wonders around us.
Stay tuned — my journal is filling with little encounters like this, and each one tells a new story from the wild. 🌿🦋
