Did you know woodlice (isopods) are mostly night-active? 🌙 That’s because they lose water quickly in dry air and sunlight. But in damp, shaded places, they can be active even during the day. Today I found a dark corner of the forest full of them, crawling among the leaves and moss. 🪳🌿
They remind me that tiny creatures follow rules of survival we hardly notice — moisture, shelter, temperature. Once you know what they need, you start spotting them everywhere.
