🌙✨ A Summer Night’s Surprise ✨🌙
It was one of those warm summer nights when the grass still whispered with the day’s heat. As I wandered through the meadow, my flashlight caught a tiny movement among the stems. There it was — Roesel’s bush-cricket (Roeseliana roeselii).
Not loud or showy, just quietly buzzing its nighttime song, dressed in green and brown patterns that let it vanish with a tilt of a leaf. I paused, listening. The world around me seemed to hush, and for a moment, it felt like the cricket and I were the only two awake.
