An afternoon of bird- and fox-watching on the easternmost point of Iceland. 🇮🇸
This was probably one of the most unique encounters of our trip. We were hiking along the massive cliffs, watching thousands of birds nesting, when we saw a brownish creature crawling along the top edge. It wasn’t long before it noticed us. It was a young arctic fox on the hunt for bird eggs. It looked like it was shedding its fur. The fox did not run away, but hid itself by lying in the grass, which was a similar color to its coat. This is when we captured this image.
